一．設置boot引導順序：（工作站/服務器）

●對於服務器而言
1．對於服務器而言，當打開機器開關，聽到第一聲蜂鳴聲後，按1鍵（服務器）；
2．進入設置系統內核界面，系統缺省為32位的內核，確認；
3．進入boot引導順序界面，按6鍵，選中“Multiboot”選項，確認；
4．按3鍵，選中“CD-ROM”選項，確認，完成設置，並按x鍵依次退出。

●對於工作站而言：
1．當打開機器開關，聽到第一聲蜂鳴聲後，按F1鍵（工作站），進入圖形界面；
2．進入“System Management Services”界面，用鼠標選中“Multiboot”選項；
3．選中界面中的“Boot Sequence”選項後，出現圖1所示的界面；

4．將光標移至“SCSI CD-ROM id=@1,0 (Integrated)”項前的“--”處，鍵入“1”，使boot引導從CD-ROM開始。設置完畢後用鼠標選中“Save”保存，然後依次選中“Exit”退出。

二．安裝AIX5L
1．插入安裝盤1；
2．按照屏幕提示，按F1鍵，確認，設置系統控制台的語言環境為英語環境；
3．按照屏幕提示，按1鍵，確認，設置系統安裝過程的語言環境為英語環境，進入基本*作系統的安裝和維護界面，見圖2；

4．在光標處鍵入“2”, 確認，選中“Change/show Installation Settings and Install”選項，進入安裝和設置界面，見圖3；

為了修改選項“System Settings”下的內容，在光標處鍵入“1”，確認。
首先出現的是“Change Method of Installation”界面，由於系統進行的全安裝，因此在光標處鍵入“1”，確認，選中“New and Complete Overwrite”選項。
之後出現“Change Disk Where You Want to Install”見面，此處不需修改，在光標處確認，回到圖3所示的界面。此時“Method of Installation”項的屬性已變為“New and Complete Overwrite”。在光標處直接確認，完成安裝設置。
5．系統自動進行安裝。

三．圖形化配置
安裝完畢後，系統自動進入圖形化配置界面“Configuration Assistant”,配置過程大部分為缺省的選項，只需對以下幾項進行配置：
1．配置時區；
在“Set or Verify Date and Time”界面下，將時區設置為“Coordinated Universal Time(CUT)”；
2．設置超級用戶的密碼；
在“Set Password for Administrative (Root) User”界面下，選中“Yes ,set the password now”選項，並輸入Root用戶的密碼：********；
3．設置交換區大小；
在“Manage System Storage and Paging Space”界面下，設置交換區的大小（一般為內存的2倍），“New paging space (MB):”;
4．配置TCP/IP；
在“Configure TCP/IP Task Guide”界面下，輸入主機名，並賦予IP地址，子網掩碼。
圖形化配置的大致流程如下：
Accept→Next→Next→配置時區，並按下Next→Next→設置超級用戶的密碼，並按下Next→Next→設置交換區大小，並按下Next→Next→配置TCP/IP，並按下Next →Next→Next→Next→Next→跳過對“Webserver”和“Online Document”的設置，選中“Exit Configuration Assistant”，並按下Next→Finish（完成）。

四．安裝軟件包
1．在“#”提示符下，鍵入“smitty”，確認，進入系統管理界面，見圖4；

3．將光標移至第一項“Install and Update Software”處，確認，進入軟件安裝和升級界面；

4．將光標移至第一項“Install Software”處，確認，進入軟件安裝界面；

按F4鍵，則在屏幕的右下腳將出現所示的窗口。

將光標移至第一項“/dev/cd0 (16 Bit SCSI Multimedia CD-ROM Drive)”處，選中。
5．回到所示的“Install Software”界面中，此時軟件安裝的缺省選擇是全部安裝。

6．按下F4鍵，選擇所需的軟件進行安裝。由於軟件的種類繁多，可根據屏幕的提示，按“/”鍵查找所需的軟件，並按“F7”鍵選中。
所需安裝的軟件有：bos.acct bos.adt bos.content_list bos.data bos.net bos.perf perfagent.tools ifor_ls.base
當所有需要安裝的軟件均備選中後確認，並再次按確認，進行安裝。
（安裝過程中需要換入盤2，再換回盤1。）

五．安裝軟件集束
1．在“#”提示符下，鍵入“smitty”，確認，進入系統管理界面；
2．將光標移至第一項“Software Installation and Maintenance”處，確認，進入軟件安裝和維護界面；
3．將光標移至第一項“Install and Update Software”處，確認，進入軟件安裝界面；
4．將光標移至“Install Software Bundle”處，確認，進入軟件集束安裝界面；

5．按F4鍵，選中“/dev/cd0 (16 Bit SCSI Multimedia CD-ROM Drive)”，從光驅進行安裝；
6．在“Select a Files Bundle”界面下，選中第一項“App-Dev”，確認，開始安裝。
（安裝過程中需要換入盤2和盤3。）

六．設置與語言環境
1．在“#”提示符下，鍵入“smitty”，確認，進入系統管理界面，見圖4；
2．將光標移至“System Environment”處，確認，進入系統界面環境；
3．將光標移至“Manage Language Environment”處，確認，進入更改語言環境界面；
4．將光標移至“Change/Show Primary Language Environment”, 確認;
5．將光標移至“Change/Show Cultural Convention,Language,or Keyboard”處，確認。

6．修改前三項，按F4鍵，選擇適當的中文環境進行安裝。
對於這三項，系統選擇安裝的語言環境均為：IBM-encCN Chinse(Simplifield EUC)[zh_CN]
由於語言環境的種類繁多，可根據屏幕的提示，按“/”健查找所需的語言環境。
7．設置完畢後，，系統開始安裝語言。

七．設系統環境變量
在主菜單中選中System Environment:
在彈出主菜單中選Change/Show Characteristic Of Operating System，再在彈出的菜單中填:
Maxium Number Of Process Allowed Per User [1280]
Continuously Maintain Disk I/O history [true]
High Water Mark For Pending Write I/O Per Files [33]
Low Water Mark For Pending Write I/O per Files [22]
填完後確認，再以F3退回上一層菜單，選“Change /Show Number Of Licensed Users”，再在彈出菜單中填：
Maxium Number Of Fixed Licenses [20]

八．修改文件系統
在主菜單中選中System Storage Management Physical&Logical Storage ,再在彈出菜單選File System，接著在彈出菜單中選擇Add/Chang/Show/Delete Journaled File Systems,接著在彈出菜單中選擇Journaled File Systems ,在彈出菜單中選Add A Journald File System，在彈出菜單中選Add A Large File Enabled Journaled File System，在彈出的Volume Group Name對話框中選中rootvg
在彈出窗口中填Size Of File System(in 512-byte blocks) [20,000,000](根據實際情況填)
Mount Point [/users]
Mount Automatically At System Restart [yes]

九．建用戶
在終端窗口下敲#smitty
在主菜單選中Security&Users項在菜單中選中User項，在彈出菜單中選擇Add a user，在彈出窗口中填寫：
User Nam :****
User ID :6000
Administrative User :false
Primary Group :system
Home Directory :/users/****
Initial Progam :/usr/bin/csh

十．建cdrom的文件系統
在主菜單中選中System Storage Management Physical&Logical Storage，再在彈出菜單中選File System，接著在彈出菜單中選中cdrom，在彈出菜單中選Add cdrom File System，接著填入相關信息即可。
